1. Ground
With a simple yet impressive menu made from the freshest ingredients, Ground specializes in burgers, sandwiches, baked potatoes, and salads that everyone will enjoy. Order one of their signature items or customize your order to your liking. Kids ten and under can choose a grilled cheese, a hot dog, or chicken tenders from the kids’ menu if preferred. They even have shakes and cookies for dessert.
Ground has two convenient locations: 1409 West Main St. Ste 301 and 330 Mayfield Dr., Ste D4. Both are open for lunch and dinner Monday – Thursday from 11 am – 8 pm and Friday – Saturday from 11 am – 9 pm. Best of all, if you visit on Saturday, kids ten and under eat for $1!
2. Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant
Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert, you can take the family to Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant for any meal. They also sell marinades, sauces, coffee, and more, so you can even get some items crossed off your grocery list while you’re there. This place is very popular with the locals, and many people make reservations. So, you may want to call ahead or expect to wait for a table. (But we promise it’ll be with the wait!)
They offer many delicious meals like fried chicken, pulled pork, fried green tomato BLT, squash casserole, and more. Kids 12 and under can order off the kids’ menu, which includes a side and drink. Choose from classic kid favorites, like mac and cheese with sweet potato fries or PB&J with fresh fruit. Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant is located at 120 4th Ave. Open daily at 7 am, they close at 9 pm Sunday – Thursday and at 10 pm Friday – Saturday.
3. Franklin Chophouse
Located at 1101 Murfreesboro Rd, Franklin Chophouse is a locally owned restaurant that has been serving the area for nearly 30 years. Menu favorites include prime rib, blackened chicken alfredo, Louisiana bayou shrimp, cedar-planked salmon, spicy chicken pasta, and creamed spinach.
You can smell the mouth-watering scents when you pull into the lot. Franklin Chophouse is open Monday – Thursday from 11 am – 9 pm and Friday – Saturday from 11 am – 9:30 pm (closed Sundays).
