In a vehicle market flooded with SUVs, the 2023 VW Arteon sedan is the saving grace for those who want zero compromises. While SUVs are great for their cabin/cargo space and usually get better fuel economy than trucks, sacrifices are often made in the handling/driving department. The Arteon is a full-sized sedan that maintains better fuel economy than SUVs, more than enough cabin space for your belongings, and offers a graceful, agile drive you’ll fall in love with.

Standard Specs on All Arteon Models

All three Arteon trims come equipped with a two-liter four-cylinder TSI 16-valve DOHC turbo engine with Tiptronic and Autohold capabilities. All models get 300 horsepower and a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission. All models possess Driving Mode Selection that allows you to toggle between Normal, Sport, Custom, or Eco modes.

The cabin has a Climatronic triple-zone automatic climate control system. The heated leather-wrapped steering wheel houses touch control and paddle-shifting configurations. The Arteon has an eight-inch touchscreen for infotainment and navigation. A plethora of helpful safety features come standard on all trims, such as Pedestrian Monitoring, Lane and Travel Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Monitor, and Dynamic Road Sign Display.

1. The SE R-Line

The front-wheel drive base model has 18-inch alloy wheels and heated exterior mirrors. The front seats are heated, and all cabin seating features V-Tex leatherette surfacing. The SE has LED taillights as well as Poor Weather headlights for added visibility in harsh weather. The windshield wipers have the ability to sense rain and activate automatically. This base model has a Rear View Camera System and access to the myVW Car-Net vehicle services.

2. The SEL R-Line

This trim has 20-inch alloy wheels and heated side mirrors with auto-tilt and position memory. The SEL boasts a panoramic sunroof and genuine leather seating. The cabin’s mood can be adjusted with the multi-color ambient lighting. The SEL’s built-in Driving Mode Selection system additionally includes Active Control with its standard all-wheel drive. This trim includes the Light Assist high-beam control system as well as the ability to start your engine remotely.

3. The SEL Premium R-Line

Just like the SEL, the Premium has 20-inch alloy wheels and position memory heated side-view mirrors. It also possesses a sunroof, the Active Control Driving Mode Selection, all-wheel drive, and ambient lighting.
